Abstract
Objectives: This study was conducted to find out the degree of satisfaction and quality of life, and factors influencing them for the patients with dental implant treatment, and thus to provide useful information to the dental patients for implant treatment.

Methods: The data were collected from total 400 patients, including 200 patients visiting Y dental clinic for implant and 200 patients already receiving implant treatment in Jinju City, Gyeongnam, by using a structured questionnaire through personal interview, and were analyzed with ¥ö2-test, t-test and multiple regression by using SPSS program.

Results: Three functional satisfactions, such as masticatory, social and psychological functions, were all significantly related to 2 independent variables including age of the patient and whether or not receiving implant treatment with the explanatory power of more than 40%, revealing more satisfaction as the age became younger and in the patient group receiving implant treatment. The quality of life for implant patient was significantly influenced by 5 variables, such as education level (p=0.045), value of life (p=0.006), whether or not receiving implant treatment (p=0.000), satisfaction related to masticatory function (p=0.000) and satisfaction related to social function (p=0.000) with explanatory power of 54.8%.
Conclusions: The results showed that satisfaction level and the quality of life improved remarkably, and implant treatment significantly influenced the quality of the life for implant patients. It is suggested that the results should be used to provide higher degree of satisfaction and valuable information for the implant patients.
